The Moors and 
Christians festivities in honour of Saint George are taking place this w
eekend in Alcoy.
Tomorrow the troops of both sides – Christians in the morning and Moors in the afternoon, will delight viewers with L’Entrà. It’s a parade through the streets of the town centre in which will be shown all the splendor of special costumes, makeup, bands, animals and dancing.
On Sunday it will be the day of the Patron with various religious acts, which will lead to Monday when the battle between two sides and the fight for the castle will take place. there will be shot guns and musketry embassies.
It’s a nice historical representation that involves you and transports you some centuries back.
